Flying Monkeys

As far as I know, the term comes from The Wizard of Oz where the Wicked Witch of the West commands a bunch of winged monkeys to do her dirty work.

My wife has a bunch of friends that she uses as flying monkeys. She bitches to them about me all the time. As far as they’re concerned, I’m the worst human being the world has ever known and she’s the long suffering victim of it all (puke!).

Susan used her therapist as a flying monkey. She pulled me into a few therapy sessions where the therapist tried to convince me to help Susan and be more supportive to her (puke! again).

She went to a social worker and accused me of rape, sexual violence, physical and verbal violence. A report got written. the social worker was her ally, her flying monkey.

I guess she needs the support when things fall apart. None of the horror show can be her fault. I’m horrible, she’s the innocent victim, and she is unbelievably convincing.
