Running paid
Here we go again, Susan is back into running. She’ll run every single day for about two months then it will just stop for about a year before it starts again, then stops again just as quickly as it started ( #all-or-nothing ) .
When it’s on, it’s full on, there’s no in-between. It’s ramped up from zero to 10Km within days. She goes around half crippled while it’s in full flight having totally overdone it without any warmups or warm-downs.
Credit where credit is due, she gets fit.
Then she’ll inevitably meet people she knows from the running club down at the pitch where she runs by herself. She’ll accept the offer to run with them. Eventually and as always, a certain person in the group will ask her to pay the membership fee. Like clockwork, she’ll have a falling out with her (again). She’ll refuse to pay the fee and return to running by herself, until it all stops suddenly ( #entitlement #argumentative #trouble-maker ) .
Rinse and repeat, year after year. It’s beyond bizarre.
