Fighting because
It’s the evening before Emma’s school tour. The tour is to a water adventure park. She’s worried that she won’t be a strong enough swimmer for it but she’s super excited all the same.
It’s an earlier start than usual so you might imagine that simply relaxing before bed would be a good idea?
I had to leave for a few hours to do a thing (related to Susan’s family as it happens). I come home to…
Emma is in bed but about as sleepy as… well… something that’s not very sleepy. She’s clearly highly agitated.
Susan is also agitated ( #belligerent ) .
What happened?
Section titled “What happened?”Apparently Kitty (the cat) had to be put out for some reason, I’m not sure. Susan was to feed her before putting her out but allegedly didn’t, and did her usual of just throwing or pushing her out the door ( #cruel #lack-of-empathy ) .
Emma got angry about that. So Susan got angry with Emma ( #levelling ) .
Twas the night before
Section titled “Twas the night before”And this is generally what happens the night before anything. But it didn’t stop there. I was attacked too, loudly ( #narcissistic-rage #vitriol ) . Then we had to endure quite a lot of clattering and banging and pottering about… loudly. Very loudly ( #passive-aggressive #control ) . Emma was kept awake, late ( #cruel #lack-of-empathy ) .
Make what you will of it but I’ve seen it enough times to see a pattern to it… There will generally be a fuss the night before anything of significance ( #cruel ) .
