Another trash incident
Years on from the previous trash incident I happened to find a huge amount of trash and construction rubble (following work we had done on the house). It had been there for quite some time, hidden among the overgrowth, over the fence, in the field adjoining our garden ( #trouble-maker #entitlement #lack-of-accountability ) .
This time, I didn’t bother to consult her, it wouldn’t have been worth the hassle ( #fawn-response ) . I spent a couple of hours gathering it just hoping that the neighbors wouldn’t see what I was doing. But more importantly, hoping that I could keep it hidden from Susan and dispose of it over time as part of our normal garbage collection service ( #fawn-response #codependency ) . I remember the way my heart was beating, I was so anxious somebody would see. I was terrified she’d arrive home to find me exposing her secret ( #fawn-response #codependency ) .
The only possible explanation I can come up with for this is that we could get charged extra if the trash bins exceed a weight quota. We’re talking single digit bucks here, not tens, not hundreds ( #lack-of-accountability ) .
