Kitty the cat

Kitty is a cat, our cat. I like Kitty but Kitty can be a pain in the ass when she starts climbing curtains and stuff. She never really got out of that crazy kitten behavior. We do have an understanding though. She climbs curtains, she’s out. She decides that the fridge magnets are footballs, she’s out. She’s got a nice house outside and she’s never put out without food. The rest of the time she’s sleeping on a dedicated bean bag. Attempts to sleep on my lap are successful maybe 50% of the time.

Kitty hates Susan. Kitty avoids Susan. Susan pretends to like Kitty but it’s for the neighbors ( #fake-empathy #facade-maintenance ) . Susan opens the back door and calls Kitty loudly for all the neighbors to hear. Kitty apparently understands English so this always works. Not.

Then on a whim, in a single swift movement, she’ll lift the sleeping cat and literally throw her outside for the night slamming the door behind her. No time to wake up, no food, no respect, no empathy, just cruelty ( #cruel #lack-of-empathy ) .
