The hero!
My father unfortunately got cancer and required surgery. Heâs since made a wonderful recovery. Susan âknows peopleâ because she works as a behind the scenes administrator in the hospital where my father was treated. Apparently, her heroic intervention using âher connectionsâ got my father the best treatment and the best recovery room ( #grandiosity #manipulation ) . He got a private room rather than a shared room following his surgery. Iâll never be sure if her intervention actually caused this or not but Iâd be surprised if her simply asking resulted in âspecial treatmentâ ( #entitlement #grandiosity ) . Iâd also be a little disturbed if the system was that corrupt.
Now every Monday she says the following:
- âAfter all I did for your familyâ ( #martyrdom #supply ) .
- âI should never have helped, youâre so ungratefulâ ( #victim-playing #manipulation ) .
- âYour father will get sick again, and when he does, he can go to hell, I certainly wonât be helping himâ ( #vindictive #vitriol #lack-of-empathy ) .
- âI wonât be doing anything for you or your family ever againâ ( #punishment #discard ) .
She says it on Tuesdays too, and Wednesdayâs and Thursdayâs and every other day ( #seeking-praise #narcissistic-injury ) .
