As mentioned, every human being on the planet has some amount of narcissistic traits in their personality. Here’s the bad, the good, the crappy, and the horrible.

The word narcissism is often synonymous with the horrible.

  • Low confidence.
  • Low self esteem.
  • Frequently feeling like an inconvenience to others.
  • Unhealthy relationships.
  • Feeling the opposite of special.

Characteristics of just the right amount of narcissism

  • The right balance of confidence and realism.
  • Having a healthy belief and conviction in the things you do.
  • Confidence.
  • Contentment.
  • Achievement.
  • Healthy relationships.
  • Feeling a healthy level of special.

Veering slightly into the unhealthy. It’s a continuum, this is just an indicative snapshot. I’m actually describing somebody I know here!

  • Great company.
  • Great friend.
  • Funny as heck, hilarious at times.
  • Sympathetic.
  • Kind.

But

  • Feeling just a small bit too special at times.
  • Boasting at times.
  • Exaggerating achievements sometimes.
  • Adding drama sometimes.
  • Very annoying at times because it’s obvious they’re talking through their asses, exaggerating and making stuff up.
  • One-upping is common.
